We are excited and proud to announce that eight John Deere technicians from RDO Equipment and Vanderfield have been named Australian finalists in the inaugural John Deere Technician Awards, recognising the best John Deere technicians across agriculture, construction and forestry.
The John Deere Technician Awards were established this year to acknowledge the hard work and expertise technicians provide to customers across Australia and New Zealand, and their drive to support operators and businesses to be their most efficient, productive and profitable.
There are four categories in the inaugural awards: Ag & Turf Service Technicians, Construction & Forestry Service Technicians, Parts Technicians and Parts and Service Apprentices.
Michael Hurn, Chief Executive Officer (Interim) for RDO Australia Group, says that having eight finalists named across the four different categories shows the quality of support that both RDO Equipment and Vanderfield offers customers across our broad range of sectors.
“These eight finalists show that we have some of the best in the field working with us at RDO Australia Group. Our technicians are expertly trained on John Deere machinery, are well cemented in their local communities and are true partners to their customers. They are a true asset to our brands, and we’re all very excited for them to be recognised in this inaugural awards series.

Finalists were selected from a pool of more than 110 nominations received from across Australia and New Zealand. All finalists have now progressed to the next phase of judging and are in the running to be named John Deere Technician of the Year.
