Rugged Utility Wheel Loaders

Do more, move more with a K-Series Wheel Loader

All new K Series-II Loaders come with a standard five-speed transmission, a new adaptive clutch cutoff, and new axles with brake retractors that will improve productivity while providing up to 10% fuel savings compared to previous K-Series models.

For maximum operating capacity, Powerllel™ linkage loaders deliver outstanding breakout throughout the entire bucket and angle range. The unique Y-link, low-mounted boom cylinders, and Hi-Vis coupler provide clear visibility to the work tool and throughout the lift arc.

Tyre and axle options let you equip your K-Series loader for material handling work on a wide variety of terrain. Other options include rear locking differential and wheel-spin control for improved traction, customised hydraulic controls, Quad-Cool™ Cooling System options for severe-duty conditions, payload scale, additional interior and exterior lighting, cab comfort upgrades, and body additions.

624K-II Features

Balance performance and cost saving efficiency

Enabled by a John Deere PowerTech™ 6.8L 6-cylinder engine, 223L/min hydraulic flow (maximum rated), up to 12,821kg breakout force, 40 degrees of articulation in each direction, 5.27m turning radius, and a maximum travel speed of 40km/h, the John Deere 624K-II Wheel Loader will help you take your operation to the next level.

Our FT4/Stage IV diesels deliver the best combination of performance, efficiency, and reliability. They employ field-proven cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), easy-to-maintain high-uptime exhaust filters, and selective catalytic reduction (SCR).

Automate your job efficiency; Auto-idle applies the brakes and automatically reduces engine speed to help conserve fuel after an operator-determined period of inactivity, while Auto shutdown turns off the engine after extended idleness.

Cab comfort and effortless control

Operators will appreciate the comfort offered by a spacious and quiet cab that boasts plenty of legroom and fatigue beating ergonomics, including convenience features such as seat mounted loader controls. Brake and throttle pedals are positioned to allow plenty of legroom and easy entrance and exit. Adjustable automotive-style louvers provide effective airflow to keep the glass clear and the pressurised cab comfortable.

Low effort push-button control of machine functions and status information is available via the sealed-switch module (SSM), including keyless-start security system requiring a numeric pass code (if enabled).

Optional rearview camera plus radar object-detection system (emits an audible alert for extra awareness in tight quarters and high-traffic areas), or rearview camera only displays the activity behind the machine on the LCD screen.

Maintenance and servicing made simple

Vertical spin-on filters allow quick, no-spill changes. 500, 2,000, and 4,000 hour engine, transmission, and hydraulic oil-change intervals help reduce operating costs. Conveniently located, easy-to-read sight gauges and see-through reservoirs let you check transmission, hydraulic, coolant, and windshield waster fluid levels at a glance to support cost efficient daily service checks.

John Deere Quad-Cool Cooling System places the radiator, air conditioner, condenser, intercooler; and hydraulic, transmission, and standard axle coolers in a unique boxed configuration that’s isolated from engine heat. 3mm side-shield perforations block most airborne debris. Unlike stacked coolers, Quad-Cool cores resist plugging and are easily accessible from either side for quick and easy clean out. Optional programmable fan automatically reverses at predetermined intervals, ejecting debris from the radiator and cooler cores.

Lockable master electrical-disconnect switch, cab circuit breaker, and remote-start terminals are enclosed beneath the right-side step, for ground-level convenience.

Bucket loads of capability and versatility

Standard near-parallel lift z-bar linkage provides up to 2.86m 45 degrees dump clearance, while an upgrade to High-Lift linkage offers an additional 370mm / 14.5 inches height (3.23m clearance), and 0.93m reach at full height.

John Deere’s patented Powerllel™ linkage offers both powerful digging forces and parallel lift – an innovative design that allows load forces to work with, not against, the boom. Impressive torque throughout the entire dump and rollback range enables Powerllel loaders to excel at a wide variety of material-handling tasks. Also available on the 624K is Tool-carrier linkage for parallel-lift.

John Deere K-Series wheel loaders are equally at home loading trucks and clearing debris on a development construction site, handling feed and fertiliser for large agricultural operations, handling ore and waste materials on a mine site, or moving logs and loading mulch for forestry operations.

Transmission and axles

The 624K’s new standard five-speed transmission with lockup torque converter in gears 2–5 increases acceleration, speeds cycles, and optimises power and fuel efficiency during transport, roading, and ramp climbing. Smart-Shift ensures that gear changes are smooth as silk, regardless of whether the bucket is empty or fully loaded – you won’t find a smoother-shifting loader. Attain forward travel speeds up to 40Km/h.

Automatic differential lock engages as soon as a tyre begins to slip. It’s ideal for inexperienced operators or
applications requiring high traction, such as stockpiling silage, plowing snow, and handling pipe.
