METOS® monitoring systems are affordable, durable, and accurate instrumentation that provide decision making support for agricultural operations to aid in irrigation scheduling, water conservation, plant protection, insect, environmental monitoring and many others.

Our VNET Precision Farming team have the knowledge, experience and boots-on-the-ground to enhance the data collected on your John Deere equipment and on the MyJD platform with environmental data from Pessl Metos instruments.

iMETOS 3.3

The METOS 3.3 is a premium weather station. The standard station will measure rainfall, wind speed and direction, air temp, relative humidity, solar radiation and leaf wetness. It also calculates ETO, dew point, vapour pressure deficit and delta T. The system is powered by rechargeable battery and solar panel and has a fully integrated LTE modem for direct communication with the FieldClimate website or app where the data is viewable. Extras such as site-specific weather forecasts and disease modelling subscriptions are available.

iMETOS ECO D3

A reliable and cost-effective solution for basic soil moisture monitoring, irrigation management and hydrology (rainfall, water level etc.).

The wireless iMETOS ECO D3 is a solar panel and battery powered data logger, designed to work in harsh conditions and in all climate zones.

iSCOUT®

iSCOUT® is an insect trap with integrated electronics (camera system, modem, power source with solar panel) and sticky plate. It can be hung wherever in the field needed, due to its low weight. In the field, the device is self-sufficient, as it is powered by a solar panel and a battery. 10 MP camera takes high-resolution pictures of the sticky plate within the iSCOUT®trap. Images are sent via LTE to the FieldClimate platform where they are analysed with AI (artificial intelligence) software. The results are then visible on web or mobile devices. As a result, we see the photo with rectangles around the target insect, as well as summarised data of the daily count, targets in total and development of insect population during the season. Control is real-time and the collected data can be used for further analysis.

Over 80 disease models for more than 35 crops

Disease Modelling

A plant disease model is a mathematical description of interactions among the environment, the host plant and the variables related to the pathogen that can lead to the

development of the disease. The more advanced models are those which can predict the impact or severity of the disease and the development of inoculum.

A forecast of all the main meteorological variables and other agronomic information, such as the window for phytosanitary interventions, is provided on an hourly basis, for 7 days and updated each time the service is accessed on ng.fieldclimate.com.

The spray window helps identify suitable periods for the application of crop protection measures by showing suitable (green), less suitable (yellow) and unsuitable (red) periods

for application. The conditions are calculated from wind, precipitation, air temperature, relative humidity and delta T.

Weather Forecasting

A weather forecasting subscription is available by using Meteoblue weather modelling and your own METOS weather station observation data to generate a site-specific weather forecast. Data is available on an hourly basis for the next 7 days in charts and table. Download all the data into a csv with a click. Output data for multiple forecast variables, every hour –air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed/direction, wind gust, rain amount and probability, leaf wetness, global radiation, sunshine time, air surface pressure, cloud cover and daily ET0. Data is also presented in Graphical format to view a 7 day MeteoAgro forecast with Spray windows and a 14 day forecast.

CropVIEW®

The CropVIEW®, is a camera system with integrated electronics (camera, modem, power source with solar panel). It can be installed wherever in the field needed. In the field, the device is self-sufficient, as it is powered by a solar panel and a battery. 10 MP camera takes high-resolution pictures of your field, crop or fruit. Images are sent via mobile network to the FieldClimate.com platform where they are analysed with automatic detection of fruits (for apples only). The results are then visible on web or mobile devices. As a result, we see a photo with recognised fruits (apple only) as well as measurements of fruit diameters (apple only). Control is real-time and the collected data can be used for further analysis.
