Eden Tait from SEQ Earthmovers has been a big fan of John Deere machinery for a long time, so when he heard RDO Equipment would be selling the E-Series excavator in Australia, he couldn’t wait to jump in the cab – and he wasn’t disappointed.
“I’ve been waiting patiently for years for them to arrive, so as soon as I could I jumped in one. I was beyond impressed, and haven’t looked back,” Eden says.
SEQ Earthmovers is an earthmoving equipment plant hire business based out of Brisbane. Their range includes tippers, skid steers and excavators for hire on projects including bulk excavations, new buildings small and large, civil work, cut and fill, site preparations, trenching and drainage work, rock breaking, pool excavation and more.
Eden has a fleet of John Deere machines including a 317G compact track loader and E210 and E260 excavators, with plenty more bits of Deere gear on the horizon.
“These excavators are very underrated machines. People are still learning about them in Australia and waiting for others to try them out, but they’re definitely missing out. They’re one of the best mid-sized excavators I’ve seen in a while.
“Their cycle speed is insane. They’ve got good breakout power and they’re fast, so they’ve been a great addition to our fleet, especially for projects where we need to break through hard ground and rock breaking. The power and strength behind them are great.”
E-Series excavators feature fast cycle times with generous flow, arm force and swing torque to help speed cycles, so operators can minimise their downtime. If you’re working through tough ground material, the auto pressure-boost senses the workload and delivers the additional force you need.
“RDO Equipment’s service and support team has been easy to work with as well. They get straight to the point of how they can help and what I need. They’re my kind of people so we work well together,” Eden says. “I’ll be going through them again and adding more excavators to our fleet, too, when I can.”
