E36ZS Features

Big versatility in a small package

Whether you’re the owner of a landscaping, plumbing, or electrical outfit, or a hobby farmer looking to make daily tasks a little easier, the E36ZS mini tracked excavator takes the sweat and backache out of jobs like digging footings and building foundations, demolition, trenching for plumbing and electrical, handling landscape materials or stock feed, and loading trucks and trailers.

Light enough to be trailered to job sites, contractors will have access to more jobs with niche requirements. With the quick connect auxiliary couplers and the manual quick coupler, changing attachments is quicker than ever with just one bolt and two pins. With this, your project will have minimal downtime.

Auto-idle and economy work mode

Lower your daily operating cost and save on fuel with the John Deere E36ZS mini excavator’s Economy Work Mode. Its Auto-idle feature automatically decreases engine speed when hydraulics aren’t in use. While its Auto Shutdown feature further conserves fuel while on the field. This compact machine can optimise power for different digging applications to significantly improve fuel efficiency.

Power/economy modes, minimal maintenance, and large fuel tank (44L) help keep uptime up and expenses down. So you can boost productivity at a low cost.

Reach, dig, and lift more efficiently

Powered by a 22.2kW 3-cylinder Yanmar diesel engine and weighing in at 3.7 tonnes for 40.2 kPa ground pressure, the zero-tail-swing design of the John Deere E36ZS Mini Excavator makes it compact but ultra-capable, squeezing more work out of tight areas where you would normally need a shovel.

The E36ZS load-sensing hydraulic system efficiently manages power for multiple functions, delivering smooth machine control with less effort. Designed for high digging capacity, productivity, operating precision, and excellent fuel economy, with pilot-operated controls for boom, arm, bucket, swing, boom swing, blade, travel, and auxiliary functions.

For sizeable impact on the job site, the E36ZS delivers 35.0 kN tool force at the bucket, maximum reach at ground level of 5391 mm, and maximum digging depth of 3247 mm. This ultra-capable machine has a rated hydraulically-limited lift capacity of 1,171 kg at 2.0 m above ground level and 2.0 m from centreline of rotation, making light work of the most common landscaping and residential earthmoving jobs.

Move around the job site easily and safely

Two-speed travel (up to 4.8 kph) with automatic shifting provides faster transport speeds across large work areas. Added stability is delivered through a width over tracks of 1750 mm, load-sensing hydraulic system, and use of the standard backfill blade and 470kg counterweight.

Operators will appreciate excellent vision all round from the spacious and comfortable closed cab, featuring plenty of head and legroom, adjustable seat and armrests, numerous storage compartments, and a USB charging port and auxiliary input for your digital devices. Cab tilt provides quick access to maintenance components, while a large engine hood and removable covers open wide to speed up ground-level service. Grease fittings are also within easy reach, with vandal protection in place on service doors and fuel cap. Durable, tight-fitting steel bushings are easily interchangeable, minimising downtime.

Halogen work lights – three mounted on the operator’s station, one mounted on boom – provide additional visibility in low light conditions.
