What does it mean to the RDO Equipment technicians who have been named as John Deere Technician Award finalists for 2022?

Eastern Creek, NSW

Peter Roughley, Resident Field Service Technician

It’s fantastic to be recognised as a leader in the field. I strive to see each customer having their machine operating in top condition and with minimal down time. This award is a great honour. To have such great support from all at RDO demonstrates how it’s such a team effort.

Gympie, QLD

Caitlin Williams, Parts Technician

I enjoy being a Parts Technician at RDO Equipment and for the John Deere product and find it extremely rewarding in many ways.

I cannot wait to celebrate with fellow finalists at the upcoming Technician Award Judging and Gala Dinner and be able to share our knowledge and experience with one another.

Rutherford, NSW

Kaylyn Netrval, Apprentice Parts Technician

I’m preparing myself for the next stages of this competition which still seems like a dream. Being a regional finalist shows that I’m being recognised for my hard work & determination which makes me proud of what I do. Win, lose or draw I’m proud of how far I have come and the experience I will get from this competition.

Loganholme, QLD

Michael Gemzik, Service Technician

I am very thankful and honoured to be nominated for this prestigious award. I do believe though, that I’m not special in any way. I believe I am only offering our customers a service that any and every good tradesman should be doing. I treat people how I would like to be treated. Our customers have allowed me to come into their property and are paying good money for us to do so. There is nothing worse than paying for a poor job. Seeing them happy makes me happy.

Lismore, NSW

Cameron Black, Service Technician

Being nominated for these Awards shows that people appreciate the hard work I have done. To be able to meet other people in my field and build relationships to better myself to help our customers is what it’s all about for me.

Richlands, QLD

Scott Jackson, Field Service Technician

I’m proud to say the least. To be recognised by the manufacturer for having exceptional skill in not just diagnostics or repair, but also being noted for having exceptional customer service on RDO’s behalf, whether it be working late in the rain to get a machine done that night, or taking calls from customers after hours who need support. To have John Deere recognise these efforts and to hold such an event for essentially the face of their brand is an achievement in itself.

Wingfield, SA

Max O'Brien, Field Service Technician

I feel appreciated by the Adelaide branch and RDO Equipment for nominating me and John Deere for naming me a finalist, for the work I do for our customers and the effort I put into becoming a better technician.

Dalby, QLD

Lauren Cortes, Apprentice Parts Technician

From throwing myself into cattle work, including performing autopsies on cattle, to chasing scrub bulls in the middle of the desert at Henbury Station. I am enjoying the study aspect of my apprenticeship and learning on the job.

Roma, QLD

Jack Jones, Apprentice Service Technician

I feel that being nominated as a Finalist is a great opportunity to represent my branch, and I’m looking forward to the experience of it all.

Taree, NSW

Vincent Powditch, Field Service Technician

I’m honoured to be nominated, to be doing something that I love to do, and try hard to keep our customers running. It’s great to be recognised for such an award.
